Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Since Simon Gloster Saro withdrew its peripheral interest in tanker manufacture the Gloucester-based company has concentrated on building air-side rapid intervention vehicles (RIVs).

Its latest 403kW (540hp) Protector which was on view at last month's Farnborough air show has been designed to meet increasing world-wide demand and conforms to UK and US regulations on performance.

The first 12 RIV's to be produced have been bought in a £2.8 million deal to re-equip the Highland and Islands airports.

Individual specification changes can be absorbed within its modular body design, such as tank size which can range from 4,000 to 14,000 litres. It also allows for ease of maintenance. For stability, the GRP water tanks are mounted amid-ships while the six-man crew cab is made from aluminium panels over a tubular steel roll cage.

Another specialist vehicle builder Angloco of Batley has supplied a larger 6x6 crash tender to the Civil Aviation

Authority's training school, at Teesside airport.

Based on a 403kW Unipower chassis with fiveman crewcab, it carries 6,400 litres of water and 770 litres of foam and provides a low level rescue ladder from a large monitor platform.
