Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

QThe editor of your magazine recently wrote about helping women broken down on motorways. Earlier this year I was travelling down the A34 south of Newbury in an artic and I saw a lady looking under the rear of her car, it was getting dark so I pulled into see if I could help. When she saw me get out of the cab she panicked, jumped back in her car and locked the doors and started shouting at me to go away. Another car pulled up and this guy got out and started on at me. I drove away. Is it really worth getting involved?

P C Aldershot.

AYes, I know the A34 well and it would be the ideal hunting ground for those sickminded morons who pray on women. You did the right thing in driving away, but how do you know the other guy was safe?

Everyone of us has a responsibility to assist where possible. As many of you have cab phones, if you don't want to get out of your vehicle, just ring the police.
