• Yorkshire-based haulage and container company Transworld Distribution Services has opened a depot on the Isle of Grain, Kent, and plans to run 40 vehicles from the new site by the end of this year.
Commercial director Tony Lock says the company will move an existing contract from its Felixstowe site at the end of this month, with a Z700,000 nationwide distribution contract starting soon after.
The company has 95 vehicles and drivers and operates six depots nationwide. It had a turnover of £4.8m last year.
