• Local hauliers will be gaining work from the collapse of the Lowndes Queensway chain. Receiver Ernst & Young has now sold 24 Queensway shops to furniture group Cantors, which plans to use hauliers for distribution in each shop's region. "Each manager will have his own little problem in sorting out his distribution," says Cantor's transport manager David Richards.
