• Unipower is launching updated versions of its 20 and 30-tonne aircraft crash tender chassis. Both the 4x4 and 6x6 models have a 0.4m wider chassis of 2.9m.
The Nubian and Nubian Major have been built since the late 1960s in their present form — with a rear engine. Unipower, which bought the Scammell business from the Rover Group two years ago, says the new versions give the vehicles a lower centre of gravity. Both vehicles have a five-person cab.
Unipower builds only chassis for the Nubians. Customers specify their own bodybuilder.
