/Onward Transport, a subsidiary of the Storey Group. has named Ian Ramsay, as managing (Vector. He took over from his predecessor. G P Storey, on October 1, having joined the company after more than eight years as managing director of DMT, part of the Transport Development Group. Prior to that he was the general manager of operations of another TDG subsidiary.

• Brian Robinson has joined London Regional Transport in the new post of corporate marketing director. He will also assist the commercial director in a range of other responsibilities.

Robinson joins LRT from Unilever, where he had many years of international experience in marketing and management, both in head office and operational roles.

• Provinical Bus Company managing director Tom McQuade is to retire in February. He will be replaced by James Freeman, based at Fareham. Hants.

Freeman has been managing director of Shamrock & Rambler Coaches in Bournemouth since 1964. following a spell at National Holidays as field operations officer in Brighton.

Tom McQuade, who has spent some 39 years in the bus industry in the Hampshire area, was with Hants & Dorset and then with Provincial as general manager when it was reformed as a separate NBC company in January 1983.

N Yorkshire Rider, a new company which takes over the operation of bus services from Metro later this month, has formed a mini.. bus division and appointed Geoff Pinder as its manager.

Pinder has worked for Metro and the former Leeds City Transport for the past 26 years.
