Northern England: M62 (Greater Manchester). Resurfacing work has begun on the westbound carriageway, four miles west of Eccles Interchange (junction 12). There is now a two-way traffic flow on the eastbound side. In addition, the eastbound slip road at Junction 15 is closed from eam to 6pm.
Midlands: A40. A section of the High Street in Ross-on-Wye, is closed for the next three weeks and congestion is expected.
M6: Southbound carriageway near Keele service area is still closed and will be for several weeks. There are diversions for southbound lorries during peak Motor Show times. Between 8am and 4pm on October 17 and 20-24, lorries must use the centre lane between junctions 5 and 4, Wales and the West. M4. Due to resurfacing works, two-way traffic uses one carriageway between junctions 19 and 20.
M5: has various lane closures between Junction 19 and 26.
A449. A half-mile stretch of the northbound carriageway 4.5 miles north of the M4 junction near Newport will be closed for about the next four weeks. Traffic must use the southbound carriageway.
Penzance: Rebuilding of the Ross swing bridge will go on for another five months. Drivers are advised to use the Market Jew Street route as an alternative.
South-east England. M4. Although an overnight closure of the London-bound carriageway is effective from 9pm to 6am between junctions 3 and 2 between Monday and Friday, M4 is open at weekends.
Ml. Extensive repairs continue between junctions 4 and 5 with a two-way flow on one carriageway.
Al. Reconstruction work on the Rowley Lane flyover on the Barnet by-pass will result in occasional closures of one or both carriageways between now and March mostly at weekends.
