Duo-Chek is designed to optically test the specific gravity of radiator anti-freeze or for checking battery _condition. A small sample of coolant or battery electrolyte from individual cells is placed on the measuring surface and its SG read off a scale which is seen through the eyepiece.
The equipment is claimed to be less prone to damage than conventional hydrometers.
