AN ORDER for new buses worth £4.19m for delivery next year has heen placed hy the Scottish Bus Group. Orders for 40 Ailsa doubledeckers and for 40 Seddon 11 m chassis have been announced previously. The SBG announcement reveals, however, that the Group has ordered a further 46 I I m Seddons as well as six 12m versions which are to be fitted with toilets and used on the London express service. As well as Seddons, Ford chassis feature prominently with orders totalling 55 vehicles and 10 Bedford are required too.
