worries RNA THE R H A officials were clearly concerned this week in Plymouth at the drop in attendance at the annual conference; 147 delegates had registered for the conference and this is the lowest for some years.
For the first time for many years vehicle manufacturers were not represented. A number of delegates said that they believed that the cost of being away from business over a four-day period had acted as a deterrent; others criticized the programme content.
One R HA official said that they were considering introducing a vehicle exhibition every second year when there was no Commercial Motor Show.
Next year's conference is to be held at Bournemouth, and in 1976 at the Metropole, Brighton.
