Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

An optical tachometer known as the 643 announced by V. L. Churchill and Co. Ltd., is specially suitable for compressionignition engines and petrol engines of the fuel-injection type but can be applied to any engine. The instrument utilizes a light beam and photoelectric cell and can be operated by any rotating part. A powerful magnetic base enables the probe head to be easily attached to the part.

A portable cabinet contains an amplifier and batteries as well as the meter. The split scale covers ranges of 0 /1,000 rpm and 0,5,000 rpm.
