Wickham Industrial Equipment Ltd. has recently produced a mobile hotand cold-water washer designed to be used with a variety of detergents, disinfectants and sterilizers. The washer is known as the Tempest.

The washer has a maximum output of 80gal/h and operates at a maximum pressure of 400 p.s.i. It is driven by a4hp electric motor and features include a diaphragm-type pump and pressure-jet-type burner. Operating on paraffin, it has a fuel consumption of -1-gal/h. Ignition is automatic. Water flow, detergent supply and burner operation are controlled at the gun, while the plastics container for detergents is replaceable.

Its compactness is shown by the fact that it will pass through a 2ft-wide doorway. The washer is mounted on Sin. rubber-tyred wheels.
