Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Considerable interest was shown in the new Bristol VRT rear-engined double-deck bus chassis and in the Plaxton-bodied LH underfloor-engined single-decker coach exhibited at the Commercial Motor Show, last month, reported Bristol Commercial Vehicles Ltd. recently. Demonstrations in a similar LH coach are claimed to have been largely responsible for the placing at the Show of 48 firm orders for LH chassis.

Valued at some £120.000, the orders were placed mainly by Arlington Motor Co. Ltd.; M. Ascough, Dublin; Kirkby and Sons Ltd.; Lancashire Motor Traders Ltd.; and W.S. Yeates Ltd. Among operators placing orders was George Ewer and Co. Ltd. (Grey-Green Coaches).

The orders were equally divided between LH and LHL models and although for the majority Leyland 400 engines were specified, a number of Perkins H6/354-engined models were also ordered. With the chassis already in hand for the Transport Holding Company, orders placed so far for the LH model amount to 350, making it a very successful lightweight chassis.
