Forecasting the lines on which transport would be nationalized, the correspondent said that the road transport industry was hotly opposed to the principle, and "the Government has, therefore, not been encouraged to seek the practical assistance of those engaged in transport administration." He forecast that there would be a national transport board representing transport, public affairs and labour. Responsible to the central authority would be a series of separate operating boards for each form of transport.
