W. and C. du eras, Ltd., Acton, London, W. 3. THREE vehicles are exhibited by . W. and G. du Cros, Ltd, There are a Waytip lorry on a 2 ton chassis, a tipping wagon on a 2 ton chassis, and a standard 2 ton chassis.

The 2 ton chassis has 22.4 h.p. R.A.C. rated engine, with pump, water circula tion and forced-feed lubrication. The clutch is of the cone-type, lined with Ferodo; the gearbox gives three speeds and reverse, and the back axle is worm driven. Semi-elliptical springs and solid tyres front.and rear are fitted. The Waytip body is mounted on a 2 ton chassis and is specially designed for colliery use. The body has two compartments constructed of sheet, steel, each having a capacity of from 15-25 cwt., mounted transversely on the chassis. They are capable of bein weighed independently on the chassi and of being tipped separately on eac side of the vehicle as desired. Tb mechanism is simple, and can be opei ated by the driver of the vehicle alone.

The tipping wagon shown is on a 2 ton chassis. This is in most ways simila to the 2 tonnes, but it is, of course, stouter construction, and has a slightl longer wheelbase. A four-speed-and-ri verse gearbox is used, and the tippin gear is hand-controlled. The vehicle : designed both for carrying goods an for the conveyance of workmen. A hoc is folded on the back of the driver canopy and can be extended to cover ti Whole of the body when the vehicle used for passenger work. The seats al housedilin a locker beneath the hod: and when in use are rested on two rai which run from end to end half-way u the sides.
