TIIE outstanding exhibit shown by Tilling-Stevens Motors, Ltd., iS a London erunibus on a petrol-electric chassis. This vehicle has a total seating capacity .of 48 22 persons being accommodated inside and 26 outside. The vehicle is fully equipped with electric lighting, side lifeguards, etc., and is to the order of Thomas Tilling, Ltd.

The next vehicle of particular interest is a luxurious touring coach, similar to those which have been supplied to.Pick fords, Ltd., for their tours! Seating

accommodation is provided for 19 passengers, excluding the driver, and there is a capacious boot for luggage. The seats are of the armchair type, slightly staggered, and the elimination of side squabbling enables wider seats to he used. Two doors are provided on the near side and one on the off side, and the outer portions of the Steps are made to fold up, in order to decrease the width of the vehicle. The hood is neatly disposed in a. special recess at the rear, and an electric push-button for operating a buzzer close to the driver is provided for the end passenger at the off side.

The remaining exhibits are two chassis, one a 4 ton T54 type petrol-electric, and the other a 2 ton TS5 type petrolelectric.

In the petrol-electric system adopted no gearing whatever is employed. The petrol engine is coupled to a dynamo -through the medium of two laminated springs, and the current generated is taken to a motor driving an Overhead Worm.
