THERE are four exhibits on this stand, two of them being on the 1 ton "speed " truck chassis, one on the 1 ton " heavy-duty " chassis, and the last on the 2. ton `.',heavy-duty " chassis. The 1 ton " speed" truck has a. four-cylinder engine, developing 19.6 h.p., capable of moving the"vehicle at a speed well above legal limit. ing taken through r an internal gear double-reduction axle. The vehicle is mounted on 34 in. by 5 in. Goodrich cord tyres on quickly detachable rims on artillery wood wheels. The vehicle is

equipped with an electric starter and electric lighting, the battery also being used for ignition. As with all International chassis, these vehicles have an auxiliary spring to the rear axle consisting of a quarter-elliptic spring shackle to the framework immediately to the rear of the front hanger of the rear spring.

The body on one of the " speed" trucks is a hinged-sided platform, equipped with a winch and ramps. The second " speed " truck is equipped with van-tilted body, the tilt being detachable.

• The 1 ton vehicle of the " heavy-duty" type has a box-van body, whilst UM 2 ton " heavy-duty" type has a tipping-body operated by a single vertical screw. The " heavy-duty " type is also made of' 30 cwt. capacity.
