Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• ICI has reformulated its HiGloss 383 range of one-pack polyurethane CV refinish paint to meet the EPA's 1995 solvent limits. There will be no difference in performance or price with the reformulated paint but mixing ratios have changed slightly, says the company.

The company also expects to launch a water-based primer early next year and a high solids two-pack CV refinish topcoat by the middle of the year. Turbo-Plus will also go along the high solids route to comply with 1995 limits but will be replaced by a waterbased product for 1998.

Looking to 1998 ICI predicts that compliant one and twopack refinish paints will be available. It expects to have a

water-based two-pack that matches the performance of Turbo-Plus.

The number of Fleetwatchapproved CV paintshops has risen to around 70 but 15 have not had their approval renewed.

At the recent seminars fleet managers were told how they should leave nothing open to interpretation on the specification of liveries and what they should expect from the paintshop. Details were given of Colourplus, la's CV refinish paints colour-matching system with mixing details for 2,700 colours.

Also on display was literature on Rapide, a catalyst for Turbo Plus which can reduce drying by up to 40%.
