The Road Haulage Association has described as scandalous the IRTE's recommendations that breakdown charges should include an element reflecting the value of the stricken vehicle and its load. The recommendations are contained in the Institute's Workshops Standards Handbook which the IRTE says it will review by the end of 1994.
