• About 150 drivers at A One Transport are fighting for an extra 18p an hour to bring their pay up to £160 a week.

Last week the Transport & General Workers Union submitted the £4-an-hour claim, as part of its campaign to bring all its members pay up to this level. But the TGWU and the company will not comment on the submission, which will affect drivers at the Leedsbased haulier's six depots.
