Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ANelectric clutch is a feature of a refrigerator compressor drive which enables the compressor to be operated by a mains-energized squirrel-cage induction motor when the vehicle is parked at a depot overnight and by the vehicle engine when it is travelling on the road. The motor is fitted with a shaft extension on which is mounted a Warner SF.400 electro shave that is in effect a combined clutch and pulley. The pulley is driven continuously by the engine and the compressor is engaged or disengaged by thermostatic control according to temperature requirements. When the motor is connected to the mains the clutch is perpetually de-energized.
