Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

APPLICATIONS of the Express Rapid Loader

mobile loading platform produced by L. Lipton Ltd., Wooburn Green, Bucks., include the use of a 6-ton model by Ross Foods Ltd., who claim that it cuts the time to load a 12-ton refrigerated vehicle from 75 min. to 20 min. One man, employing a Rapid Loader and a small hand truck, has replaced a gang of three men operating a fork-lift truck and hand truck.

The loader can lift up to 15 ft. and in the case of the 6-ton model the mains-operated pushbutton-controlled electric motor operates a hydraulic pump and ram gear to elevate the platform and can raise a 1-ton load to the level of a typical lorry in about 10 sec. A 2-ton model has a lifting height of 5 ft. 6 in. and is elevated by an electrically-operated cable mechanism. The pushbutton control provides a lifting accuracy to a fraction of an inch.

Detailed features of the loaders include a hinged drive-off flap, an adjustable height indicator, safety brakes and a lever-operated startingsupport device in the form of a jacking wheel, the last-named facilitating operation on poor surfaces. Platforms can be supplied of the size specified by the user, while the equipment can be employed in conjunction with any type of wheeled trolley or truck.
