Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The Road Haulage Association's task force, set up to investigate weighing and overloading, will be presenting its final report to the RHA's executive board in the near future, says director general Bryan Colley.

The task force was established under the chairmanship of Econofreight managing director Tom Llewellyn after a spate of complaints from mem bers about inaccurate weighbridges. It has been looking at the problems of overloading and dynamic weighers, and has been seeking evidence to support the inclusion of a "due diligence" defence in weighing legislation.

"We hope there will be recommendations in the report that we can pursue in the interests of our members and the industry," says Colley.
