Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The second round of the European truck racing championship was held at the Austrian Osterreichring last weekend, and once again wet weather played a major role in the Grand Final. German Thomas Hegrnan (1450 Mercedes) finally triumphed over his countryman German Gerd Korber (MAN). Third place was taken by Brands winner, Austrian Gunther Spindler (OAF) and, to complete the German/ Austrian line-up, Hans-George Von de Marwitz (MAN) and Heinz Dehnhardt (1450 Mercedes) were fourth and fifth.

All five were on "sticky" Semperit tyres which were the subject of a scrutineering check at Brands (the result of which has yet to come through). Sixth-placed Curt Goransson protested, but the stewards threw out his protest on the grounds that he could not protest about five trucks at once.
