line at corrosion Tidy sheets with Neville • A number of toxic-liquid carriers are now using Lithgow Saekaphen's special tank linings to combat corrosion.
A S Jones, part of the P&O Roadtanks Group, has added a hybrid triple-comparment stainless-steel tanker, with a specially-lined centre portion, to its 120-strong fleet.
Its two outer unlined sections will carry either caustic or bromide liquors while the centre portion will hold a 22-tonne load of ethylene dibromide — a chemical which has twice the specific gravity of water.
The tanker was built by Clayton Commercials.
