Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

SWEDISH manufacturers are likely to reap a better than average harvest from any upturn in the European truck market, according to a report to be published next week.

According to London-based DRI Europe, the continued improvements in transport operators' efficiency will prevent the market from growing at anything other than a sedate pace, and prerecession sales arc not expected until the mid-Nineties at least.

Production of medium and heavy commercials across Europe will rise from this year's expected 349,000 to 414,200 but demand will climb only from 226,600 to 270,400, according to DRI.

It sees little chance of British manufacturers improving their share of the home market, never mind in the rest of Europe, but it sees Scania and Volvo "edging up" their market share and outdoing the average of their major competitors.
