MID GLAMORGAN County Council has put five former National Welsh routes out to competitive tender.
The routes maintain the county's minimum service requirement and have all been taken on by independent operators.
Clayton Jones Transport Services of Pontypridd has won three of the tenders to operate some services in the Taff Ely area.
The other services involved, one in the Cynon Valley and two in the Rhondda Valley, will also be operated by small buses. The names of the operators involved are to be announced later.
