THE MOST POWERFUL model in Leyland's Constructor range — the 167kW(224hp) 24.23 had a quiet debut at the Tipcon exhibition last month.
Although deliveries of the 6x4 24.23 chassis began in March, this was the first time the higher-powered sixwheeler was shown in public.
Constructor 24.23 models have the 11.1-litre turbocharged six-cylinder TL11B engine coupled to a Spicer SST8010 ten-speed constantmesh gearbox. Maximum torque for the TL11B engine is 956Nm (703 lbft) at 1,30Orpm.
