THE VOLVO franchise in North-west England has been taken over by Terry Hardie, who was general manager, parts division at Volvo Trucks (Great Britain).
The new dealer is called Thomas Hardie Commercials and is based at Kirkby Industrial Estate, Liverpool. The area covers north and west Lancashire, north and west Cheshire, North Wales, Anglesey and the Isle of Man. It was previously serviced by Lancashire Trucks, a subsidiary of the Ryland Vehicle Group.
Terry Hardie's team at Liverpool includes: Ken Strolin, who was Volvo's fleet account manager; Robert Stewart, formerly service manager at Heathrow Commercials, the Volvo truck dealer in West London; finance manager Robert Hayes, and parts manager Alf Anslow, formerly associated with Goodyear and Duck hams.
