PORTSMOUTH'S new passenger transport manager is Eric Boyes.
He is at present the deputy director of transport with Blackburn, for whom he has worked since 1975. He has wide experience in both public and private passenger transport undertakings.
In this new position he succeeds Dennis Racher who was seconded to be general manager of the newly-founded Seychelles Public Transport Corporation.
Jack Woofer has been promoted to operations director for London Transport's buses.
He will have overall responsibility for all the London bus services and the 25,000 staff who crew, supervise and maintain the buses. Mr Woo ler first joined London Transport in 1935 and has been concerned with bus operations sipce 1947.
