Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

of over 7.5 metric tons to hold a hgv licence, I will be 19 years of age.

If 1 have been driving a lorry of over 7.5 metric tons gross weight but under 3 tons unladen weight, for the required six months, will I be granted the licence as at the time I will be under 21 years of age?

AWhen the new age related driving licences are introduced on January 1 1976, it is proposed that transitional licences will be granted to drivers who can prove a certain amount of experience in driving the appropriate class of vehicle. However, this is simply a proposal at present and we do not know the details of how it might be applied.

In any case, it is most unlikely that hgv licences will be granted to drivers of vehicles of 7.5 metric tons and over unless they are 21 years of age. Indeed: the licence requirements will be driver's age: 17 years restricted to vehicles up to 3.5 metric tons; 18 years up to 7.5 metric tons; and 7.5 metric tons and over, 21 years of age.
