• Seven new road/sea routes to West German cities have been added to existing Davies Turner services. Two-way runs between London and Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Hanover start this May. Also a return service is being introduced from Manchester direct to Dusseldorf, plus a one-way route to both Manchester and Hull from Stuttgart and Frankfurt.
Transit time will average two or three days on all routes, says Davies Turner, but rates are at 1970 levels. Traffic can be accepted for groupage or full load on 12-meter trailers.
