Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A N attempt to bridge the gap between I-1 the relatively austere personnel carrier and the coach is the aim behind a new bus body, known as the N.C.V. Alba I, produced by Nottingham Commercial Vehicles, Ltd., Bulwell Forest Works, Hucknall Road, Nottingham.

Based on the Bedford VAS1 chassis, the prototype vehicle seats 29 passengers, although the layout can he rearranged to give seating capacities of between 28 and 32.

The designer has previously won a first prize in the coach drawing competition organized by The Institute of British Carriage and Automobile Manufacturers. In this design he has introduced unusual and very angular frontand rear-end styling and the bodywork is also designed for easy repair.

The construction is quite orthodox, using ash framing with sheet steel reinforcement and aluminium panelling. Two of the large windows on each side incorporate Rawlings Oni-Vent sliding sections and additional ventilation is provided by louvres under the front visor and roof vents. A Smiths heater with four windscreen demisting outlets is also provided.

Seating is based on tubular framework with moquette trim and Vynide facings, whilst the interior sides are lined with

Wareite panels having a teak finish. The roof lining is enamelled aluminium, and the floor is covered with black mottled linoleum. Fluorescent interior lighting is provided, two Philips 2-ft. units being fitted on each side.

The price has not yet been finalized but is likely to be in the region of £1,650 for the complete body finished in primer, LEEDS BUS ORDER
