Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

SOME of the .principal activities of the Federation of International Furniture Removers, the formation of which was announced in "The Commercial-Motor " on April 20, have now been defined. These will include the circulation of a fortnightly van list, intended to replace the lists issued separately by a number of associations, and the publication of a list of affiliated concerns.

The views of member associations will be exchanged, so that a common policy can he reached on international matters. These include the draft conventions of the international carriage of goods by road now being discussed. Special problems which may arise from any substantial increase in international removals by air will also be considered.

The present headquarters of the Federation are at the offices of the British Association of International Furniture Removers, 39, Victoria Street, London. S.W 1.

LAST Friday. over 40 members of the Thornyeroft Old Pupils' Association were guests of Transport Equipment (Thornscroft), Ltd., at Basingstoke. Mr. R. F. Newman, 0.B.E., J.P., M.I.P.E., director and general manager, welcomed them.

THE Spenborough Engineering Co., Ltd.. Heckmondwike, Yorks, points out that it makes twin-ram tipping gea, model EP.83 with a capacity of 16 tons. although at the Commercial Motor Show last year, the largest Spenborough gear exhibited was for 8-ton loads.

1951 TRADER HANDBOOK

THE 1951 edition of "Trader Handbook" is now available at 12s. 6d. from the Trader Publishing Co., Ltd., Stamford Street, London, S.E.I. All its sections have been revised and some enlarged, whilst a new feature is a table showing equivalent S.A.E. grades ' of different lubricants. The list of suppliers of spare parts has been lengthened.
