Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Although it's been marketed at the HGV sector for over a year, all VMS's users to date are in the PSV sector Michael Wooten, operations manager at Chesham, Bucks-based Woottens Coaches, uses VMS to help manage 18 vehicles. He'd only been using the software for a month at the time of our call and uses only the core workshop module, but says he's very impressed with it so far.

"It's very clear, easy to use and a very powerful tool," he reports. "There's really nothing missing in the core module. though I am tempted to go for the stock control module." Distinctive, says Wootten, has been very supportive in terms of technical support too.

The package was "a fair investment'. and took a lot of time and effort to set up, he adds. "But once you've done that you do get it back because it takes on all the mundane, routine things for you automatically." Overall, VVootten gives VMS eight out of 10, concluding "I'm begihnlng to enjoy using it!" Steve Lucke% joint MD of Lucketts Travel, based at Fareham, near Portsmouth, uses the package for 32 vehicles ranging from cars up to full-sized coaches. He's used the software for over six months and has the core module and the stock control modules, though he admits to not having used the stock control features very much yet.

He too finds the software competent: "It does what we need it to do." One thing he'd like to see is the ability to integrate images of drivers and vehicles; the images being particularly useful for tracking vehicle condition. Despite this, Luckett says the software was "pretty good" value for money and he gives ft an overall rating of eight to nine out of 10.
