A BEDFORDSHIRE haulier at the centre of a row over nighttime deliveries claims he is being victimised by more than 100 protesting villagers.

Mill Transport is accused of keeping residents awake at night because its trucks use a notoriously noisy stretch of concrete road which runs through a housing estate.

But transport director Ian Footer says the company is doing nothing illegal because there are no restrictions on when or where trucks leave its operating centre on a new business park in Clapham, near Bedford.

"I think I'm getting the blame for everyone else's trucks as well as my own."
