rILEANING materials manufactured by the

Chemical Products Division of Zenith carry the name Bendix as they are based on formulae developed by the American company of that name. A complete range is available, including a cleaner for concrete floors and granules for the absorbtion of liquids.

Bendix Concrete Floor Cleaner—CFCcomes in powder form and is mixed with water at the rate of 2 to 4 oz. per gal. for lightly contaminated floors, 4 to 6 oz. per gal. for heavily contaminated areas or 6 to 8 oz. per gal. where the floor is in a very bad condition.

In the latter case heavy deposits of grease and dirt should be broken up with a sharp scraper to allow full penetration. A stiff broom should be used to apply the solution to the surface and the full soaking time before rinsing. A stiff broom is also desirable for working the solution into the floor in the other cases and a soaking time of 5 to 10 min. is adequate before rinsing off with water.

Spillages of liquids, oils and greases can be removed by using Bendix Absorbent Granules, which are applied in the same way as products. of a similar nature. The material is sprinkled over oily floors, absorbing the liquid instantly and taking it away when swept up. Heavier residues can be removed by sprinkling the granules over the area and leaving overnight.
