beams fit into slots in the uprights and the plates are secured by locking leaf springs. Frame sections are available in preferred sizes from 3 ft. to 24 ft. in increments of 1 in., heights above 12 ft. being provided by splicing the uprights. Beams can be supplied in any length from 4 to 14 ft.
Produced in two sizes for 0.25 in. bolts and in four sizes for 0.3125 in. and 0.375 in. bolts, Dexion slotted angles are offered with a wide variety of accessories, including shelves and dividers, card holders, glide wheels, conveyor rollers, castors, plastics feet, base plates and glazing strip. Galvanized angle is available for use outdoors, whilst slotted steel channel, designed for 0.375 in. bolts, is employed for heavier structures built by the company. Flange widths and thickness of the angle sections vary from 1 in. to 2.6 in. and from 0.040 in. to 0.1 in. respectively.
Dexion open steel plank flooring is made in bridge-shaped units in standard widths of 6 in. and 9 in. and lengths of 4 ft. 6 in. and 6 ft. The flooring is normally employed in conjunction with a framework of slotted angles.
