QOLE concessionaires in the UK of Rupes " Milano machines, this company offers five sanding and polishing machines of the revolvingdisc variety and one orbital type. All the machines supplied are electrically driven and are available at any required voltage.
Known as the Super Stork range, all the machines carry a six months' warranty. Among the disc-type machines, Model SL2 is a doubleheaded sander/polisher with the two heads giving 1,500 r.p.m. for polishing and 4,500 r.p.m. for sanding respectively. The weight of this machine is 12 lb. and the price £44 15s.
Known as the Wander Polisher, Model L5L is a single-headed polishing machine weighing approximately 9 lb. with a spindle speed of 1,500 r.p.m. and costing £33 15s.
An exceptionally powerful, heavy-duty angle grinder which develops over 2 h.p. is known as the Super Stork Marten. This machine is provided in two sizes-7 in. disc and 9 in. disc— and weighs approximately 12 lb. It has respective spindle speeds of 8,000 r.p.m. and 6,000 r.p.m. for the two sizes. It incorporates double insulation, a one-piece body casting and a unique ventilation system giving maximum protection from dust. It costs £46 15s.
The Model SM10 disc sander is a vertical one incorporating a labyrinth-shaped impeller closely fitted in the body which provides a pressurized cooling system and eliminates any accumulation of dust. It has a power output of 1 h.p. and a spindle speed of 4,200 r.p.m. Weighing approximately 10 lb., the machine costs £39 5s.
The only orbital model, known as the 7,000, is powered by a single-phase, 50-cycle motor which is capable of working under a 200 per cent overload. It is doubly insulated and resistant to the most unfavourable working con
ditions which makes it suitable for wet and dry sanding operations. It produces approximately 7,000 x 5 mm. dia. orbital cycles per minute and has an effective sanding area of 4.5 in. by 7.875 in. The machine costs £39 15s. and weighs 7.5 lb.
