to £33 and in three different models are produced by this company. All three are electrically driven and the lowest-priced unit, weighing 10.81b., is ideal for stripping paint, sanding back fillers and feathering edges. It has a spindle speed of 3700 r.p.m. and carries a 7in.-diam. disc. It is designated Model 7in.HD1240.
The middle-priced unit, which costs £29, is a double-insulated machine eminently suitable for use in damp conditions. It is slightly heavier than the above machine at 10.751b., and although it carries the same sized disc, its spindle-speed is lower at 3,000 r.p.m. This is Model 7in. SD0083.
Most expensive in the range, and being higher powered for such work as continuous heavy weld-dressing operations, Model 7in. SD0084 weighs I 41b.. carries a 7in. disc and has a spindle speed of 3,7(X) r.p.m.
There are two orbital sanders offered by the company. The first is Model HD 1235, which costs £23 and is suitable for use as a finishing sander; it is claimed to give excellent results in the hands of non-skilled operators. which is said to provide easy handling on both wet and dry sanding jobs. A 0.25in. b.s.p. hose connection is fitted and the machine requires 7.5 c.f.m. of compressed air to run it at the designed speed of 5,400 r.p.m. The sanding pad measures 3in. by Sin.
