E Common Market Commission is planning
to institute EEC type-approval tests for new vehicles to unify the type-approval schemes which member countries already administer.
Working towards this, and towards common technical legislation for vehicles throughout the Six, the Commission has decided to submit to the Council of Ministers a draft directive to unify braking regulations for certain vehicle categories.
