Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

FOR the first time since the block resignation A of the sub-area committee last year and subsequent formation of the North Staffordshire Hauliers' , Association, in protest against the closure of the local office at Burslem, Staffs, the RHA Potteries sub-area has an elected official. At the sub-area's a.g.m. held last week, Mr. J. Cooke was appointed sub-area chairman. He will represent the Potteries on the full West Midland area committee from next month.

But although the Potteries now has a chairman, it is still without a committee. Describing the meeting as "poorly attended"—there were 15 present—the RHA West Midland area secretary, Mr. J. T. W. Parnell, hoped that more Potteries members would attend the sub-area's April meeting and appoint a committee. This next meeting will take place at 8 p.m. on Apri120 at Burslem Town Hall.

The area chairman, Mr. A. C. W. Neely, spoke at last week's meeting and led the area officials present.

Talking to COMMERCIAL MOTOR afterwards, Mr. Parnell emphasized that an RHA staff member continues to attend Tunstall Town Hall every Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., to provide an on-the-spot service for Potteries members. This is in addition to full services provided from the area office at Tipton, some 40 miles away.
