ARECORD number of purchases of vehicles from British Road Services is revealed this week.
Most of the purchases concern one-. Iwoand three-vehicle units.
The names of more successful tenderers for units offered for sale in list R.5 are included. Cusick (Oldham). Ltd., have bought 12 of these, comprising 18 lorries and four trailers P7I ions). They are all based in the London area. Some of them are understood to be available for re-sale privately.
SCOTLAND Mr. James K. Allan. Newarthill. has taken over another five lorries (26 tons). Other repeat purchasers arc Messrs. George Duncan's Transport. Mr. R. Titterington (Hindley Bros.). 41 Edale Road. Leigh. has taken over his first vehicle (4; tons) from British Road Serviees, YORKSHIRE Our Yorkshire correspondent reports that there is much speculation about whether tenders have been submitted for any of the B.R.S. depots at present being offered in the area. The current price of special A licence vehicles is said to be about (300 a ton unladen.

Ltd., Rail Road, Soham. It comprises offices, workshops and a warehouse, and la operative articulated vehicles (23 tons) and an additional lorry and two spare trailers.
Dawharns. Ltd., Ramnoth Road, Wishecla have successfully tendered for two R.5 units, based in the East End of London. The units (5513 and 3569), which comprise five lorries (2()I tons} and two trailers, have been made over to F. W. Williams (Transport), Ltd., of the sante address.
