11 The receivers of AWD say they are confident they can sell the entire business as a going concern and are talking to a number of possible buyers.
Production has started again and suppliers are continuing to deliver. The workforce was cut last week by more than 500, leaving a skeleton staff of only 100.
Receiver KPMG Peat Mar wick says the swift decision to axe most of the workforce and continue building trucks will convince the market that the Dunstable-based company is viable.
AWD went into administrative receivership almost two weeks ago, five years after entrepreneur David JB Brown bought the ailing Bedford plant and designs from General Motors.
