• The licence held by Philip Husband, of Croesycoiliog, Cwmbran, has been renewed only until the end of December following allegations of unauthorised parking in council car parks and outside a snooker hall.

When he appeared before South Wales LA John Mervyn Pugh Husband admitted that vehicles had been parked in various places without authority. But he denied that he was also parking vehicles at Grove Farm, Croesycoiliog. He said that vehicles had been parked elsewhere because of problems getting through the traffic to his operating centre at Talywain. He had stopped using a council car park after a previous complaint.

The LA said that if there was evidence that vehicles were being kept outside Husband's authorised operating centre the licence could be revoked.
