• Exel Logistics' Newsflow division has placed an order worth up to Z4m for 128 Leyland Daf FA60 210 17-tonners to replace vehicles in its UK fleet specialising in newspaper distribution.
The first vehicles are expected to be on the road in August with the order completed by November, according to Mike Aldridge, engineering and purchasing director for Exel's Consumer and Industrial Division. The vehicles are fitted with fuelsaving aerodynamic bodywork. Aldridge says further vehicle orders will be placed at the end of the year.
0 Truck rental company Ryder has spent .0.5m buying its first Leyland Daf 45 Series vehicles — part of nationwide fleet replacement. The 128 vehicles, all 7.5 tonne FA 45.130s, will be bodied as tippers, curtainsiders, boxvans and reefers.
