ITALIAN RESTRICTIONS • International operators running into Italy are advised by the Italian Ministry of Public Works of the following restrictions on the movement of commerical vehicles over 5 tonnes GVW. No movement is allowed at the following times throughout 1987: El Every Sunday of June, August and September from 06-00 to 24-00 hours.

O Every Sunday of October, November and December from 08.00 to 2200. hours.

TIR drivers should also be aware of the following additional times: O Friday 24 July from 14.00 hours to Sunday 26 July 24.00 hours.

O Friday 31 July from 06.00 hours to Sunday 2 August 24.00 hours.

O Saturday 15 August 06.00 hours to 24-00 hours.

O Friday 21 August from 14.00 hours to Sunday 23 August 24.00 hours. O Friday 28 August from 14.00 hours to Sunday 30 August 24.00 hours. O Saturday 31 October from 14.00 hours to Monday 2 November 14.00 hours.

O Tuesday 8 December from 08.00 hours to 22.00 hours.

O Thursday 24 December from 08.00 hours to Saturday 26 December 22.00 hours.

To be exempt from these restrictions, vehicles must display a green sticker on the trailer with a small letter d, and may only carry fresh fruit or vegetables. Failure to display the green d, or carrying any other goods than those allowed could mean drivers face heavy fines.
