MAN-VW ADDS TWO I MAN-VW has added two more dealers to its UK network. Tony Andrews (PSV) Sales, of Stair in Ayrshire has been made a dealer for Volkswagen light commercials and MAN trucks up to 16tonnes G'VW. Tony Andrews (PSV) Sales (0292 591213) has held a franchise for MAN coaches for a number of years, and its principal, Tony Andrews, also runs Beaufort (Trucks), the MAN-VW truck dealership in Glasgow.

In Northern Ireland, Northern Commercials of Ballyclare, County Antrim, has taken on the franchise for the full range of MAN and Volkswagen light commercials. Although Northern Commercials (096-03 42325) is a relatively new company, it is headed by David Rutherford who ran the MAN-VW Truck Centre in Mallusk, recently relinquished by Isaac Agnew (Distribution).

LEYLAND DAP CLARITY

• Following the recent announcement by Evans Halshaw (Sussex) that it has been appointed as the Leyland Daf dealer for the whole of Sussex, Leyland Daf says that no existing franchise holders of either Leyland or Daf have so far been appointed Leyland Daf dealers.

According to Leyland Daf, Evans Halshaw will assume the responsibilities held by the previous Leyland dealer, Caffyns, under the existing franchise.

Leyland Daf says it is currently undertaking a reationafisation study, and only after this is completed will it be releasing its list of Leyland Daf dealers.

NASH GOES TO RTI

• Former Bedford truck distributor Nash of Cardiff has been appointed a full-line dealer for Renault Truck Industries, selling all Renault Doge models from the 50 Series to the 38tonne GCW R340 tractive unit.

Nash has extensive workshops at its Sloper Road site (0222-387221), as well as being a DTp-approved tachograph test station.

Although it is no longer selling Bedford trucks, Nash will continue to proved full servicing and parts for GM heavies, and will sell Bedford light commercials up to 3.5 tonnes.

Shaw and Kilburn-owned Nash is the fifth formerBedford heavy truck dealer to join the RTI sales network.
