• Following extensive evaluation of five prototype lightweight trailers Bass Mitchells and Butlers, the Midlands operating subsidiary of Bass, has ordered a further 44 trailers from Craven Tasker. The single axle-urban lowloading height trailers are designed for 17-tonne GCW operation and are equipped with a variety of bodywork. All 44 are fitted with air suspension, and feature aluminium extensively in their construction, including extrusions for stanchions and side raves, bottle racks, side guards and rear bumpers. To allow easy replacement, all the decking boards are transversely mounted.
