This is the first prize in a competition to find the most talented after-dinner speaker in the region. This makes a welcome change from never-ending sponsorships of sporting events and crazy stunts.

Competitors have to speak for five minutes on a subject of their choice in heats to be held in front of an invited audience in Birmingham. Winners will go to semi-finals, with a grand final at a Midlands stately home later this year.
